Purpose and Mission Statement

Portaul is dedicated to fostering a safe, private, and empowering space for users to take control of their sexual health. By enabling secure sharing of STI test statuses, automated testing reminders, messaging, Trust Circles, and anonymous quiz leaderboards, we aim to promote education, accountability, and support. Our mission is to break stigmas, encourage transparency, and provide users with tools to maintain and improve their sexual well-being in a respectful and inclusive community.

Code of Conduct

Acceptable Language and Behavior

• Respectful Communication: Always interact with others courteously and respectfully, whether in private messages, Trust Circles, or public interactions.
• Supportive Environment: Encourage positive discussions about sexual health and well-being. Share resources and advice constructively.
• Consent is Key: Obtain explicit consent before sharing any content or initiating private conversations with other users.

Prohibited Content and Actions

• Hate Speech and Discrimination: Content or behavior targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or health status is strictly prohibited.
• Harassment and Bullying: Do not intimidate, threaten, or target users in any way.
• Non-Consensual Explicit Content: Sharing explicit material without consent will result in immediate action.
• Misinformation: Sharing false or misleading information, especially regarding sexual health, is not allowed.
• Illegal Activities: Content or behavior promoting illegal activities, including exploitation, is banned.

Inappropriate Profile Information

Usernames, bios, or profile pictures must adhere to community standards. Offensive, misleading, or inappropriate content in these areas is strictly prohibited and will result in action, including possible account suspension or removal.

Minors on the Platform

Portaul is designed for users above the age of 18. Age restrictions are enforced during account creation, and any minors identified on the platform will be immediately removed to ensure compliance with regulations and community safety.

Content Monitoring

Flagged content will be reviewed promptly by our moderation team.

Reporting and Enforcement

Users can report inappropriate content or behavior through an in-app reporting system. Reports will be reviewed within 14 days, and appropriate actions will be taken, including warnings, content removal, or account suspension. Repeat violations may result in permanent bans.

Standards for Shared Content

Trust Circles

Content shared in Trust Circles must align with the app's purpose and respect others' boundaries.

Messages

Direct messages should remain private and consensual. Avoid unsolicited explicit content.

Leaderboards

Contributions to anonymous quiz leaderboards must uphold the integrity of the platform and avoid harmful or misleading information.

Status Sharing via QR Codes

Status sharing is facilitated using QR codes. Both users must approve the request, which then leads to mutual sharing of results. Unauthorized sharing or misuse of shared statuses is prohibited.

Intellectual Property Rights

Users retain rights to their own content but grant Portaul a license to use shared content for the platform's operations. Respect copyright laws when sharing resources or materials.

Privacy and Safety Guidelines

Protecting Anonymity and Data

• Users' STI statuses and personal data are encrypted and never shared without consent.
• Features such as anonymous quiz leaderboards and Trust Circles ensure controlled information sharing.

Secure Sharing Practices

• Only share STI test statuses or sensitive information with trusted individuals.
• Regular reminders and educational prompts will guide users on safe sharing and digital hygiene.
• Taking screenshots of usernames or other users' information and sharing it without their knowledge or consent is strictly prohibited. Disclosing personal information of others without consent will result in sanctions, including account suspension or permanent bans.

Anonymised Retest Reminders

Automated retest reminders are generated if a previous partner tests positive. These notifications are anonymised and do not disclose who or when a user was in contact with someone who tested positive. Misusing this feature to identify or "out" someone, especially if there is only one person on the Port List, is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to exploit or abuse this feature will lead to sanctions, including potential account suspension or bans.

Warnings

Minor infractions will result in a warning and educational resources about the violated guideline.

Content Removal

Inappropriate content will be removed.

Suspensions

Repeated or severe violations may result in temporary account suspension.

Permanent Bans

Continued breaches or egregious offenses will lead to account termination.

Specific Sanctions for Privacy Violations

Sharing screenshots or personal information of others without their consent will lead to account bans and potential reporting to relevant authorities if necessary.

Abuse of Anonymised Features

Attempts to misuse anonymised notifications to identify or "out" others will result in immediate action, including account suspension or permanent bans.
